Wireless Infrared Alarm

My spouse has cognative issues and gets up several times at night to go to bathroom. She had a lot of pain in her knee that compounded this problem. Since she couldn't physically make it to the bathroom without danger of falling, I couldn't sleep for fear of her getting up. She had surgery on knee and that pain deminished but she still got up often. A couple of days after surgery she got up and I didn't hear her and she had bad fall in bathroom that resulted in a 911 call and ER visit. I knew that I was either going to have to employ a sitter several nights a week or find some other means of knowing when she gets up and still allow's me to get some rest. I searched the net and found this sensor. In the evening when she goes to bed I place it on the floor by the bed and any time she starts to put her feet on the floor it "ding dongs" a couple of times which wakes me up. It also has a remote but I haven't used it. This allows me to go into a good sound sleep knowing that I will be awakened if she gets out of bed. I would recommend it to anyone who has a similar problem.

My Mom is 91 and when she gets up at night I need to be with her. I can sleep well, knowing that this alarm will go off the minute she gets to her bedroom door. The alarm is loud and very capable of waking a person up. It has really helped me with this problem.
