Incentive Spirometer

I've been using a spirometer for about 2 1/2 months now. It is an excellent device because it helps you measure how well you can breathe and it helps you improve your breathing. It's easy to use. You place the mouthpiece in your mouth, exhale completely and then inhale slowly. The device shows a measurement because a plastic cylinder rises along with your breath. It takes some effort to get a top rating. When I started I was under 3000, and I now (only) manage 4250, but my athletic trainer can go up to the top rating which is 5000. The more you use it, the better you can perform. I think it's well worth the price.
